Why do I think kitchen tools made in America are the best?

It’s hard to beat the quality that you get with American-made tools that have been successfully used for decades if not centuries. Although not everything in my kitchen comes from an American manufacturer, I love to support USA businesses when I can.

With supply chain disruptions and shipping becoming less certain, it’s good to buy local when you can so that you can avoid extra delays.

10 Best Kitchen Tools Made in America

Here are the 10 best kitchen tools made in America, in my opinion. It doesn’t matter if you have a farm kitchen, homestead kitchen, city kitchen, or suburban kitchen. These tools will help you get delicious meals on your table.

1. Lodge Cast iron skillets

The best kitchen tool made in America is a Lodge cast iron skillet with red silicone handle cover.

The top spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America has to go to a heavy duty cast iron skillet.

Get a good pre-seasoned cast iron skillet if you are just getting started cooking traditional foods. Lodge sells these skillets very reasonably!

I love that Lodge has made all their heirloom quality cast iron in the United States since 1896.

The most popular skillets are the 10-inch skillet and the 12-inch skillet.

Personally, I have two 12 inch skillets and one 10 inch skillet. I use all three on my gas stovetop when I’m making pancakes. And if I had a fourth skillet, I would likely use it on my fourth burner to make pancakes quicker.

I also use a skillet for baking crispy cornbread, frying eggs, cooking bacon, and searing or frying any other meats.

2. Lodge Cast Iron Dutch Ovens

The second best kitchen tool made in America is a light blue Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven.

The second spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America has to go to a heavy duty cast iron Dutch oven.

Continuing my love for Lodge, their Dutch ovens are equally durable, versatile, and beautiful. Since they’re not imported, they are very reasonably priced for the heirloom quality that you get.

Their enameled cast iron Dutch ovens are beautiful on the table or on the stove. I love that they come in various colors and sizes to suit your personality and the occasion.

I like to use an enameled cast iron Dutch oven for soups and stews, rice, or cooking anything acidic that I don’t want to react with seasoned cast iron.

Lodge also makes seasoned cast iron Dutch ovens in various sizes.

I love using a seasoned cast iron Dutch oven to make roast chicken and vegetables. Even though Lodge says you can put enameled cast iron into an oven up to 500° F, I prefer not to do that to my enameled cast iron any more.

3. NutriMill Grain Mill

The third best kitchen tools made in America is a white Nutrimill grain mill.

The third spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to a grain mill. Whether it’s electric or manual, you need one of these in your kitchen.

You can really up your preparedness and home cook skills when you start grinding whole grains into flour using a NutriMill grain mill.

There’s nothing better than grinding wheat berries into whole wheat flour in the morning, and having a fresh loaf of whole wheat bread in the afternoon. The flavor is unparalleled!

The milling stones are made in Germany, but everything else is made here in America.

4. Modern artisans Wood Utensils

The fourth best kitchen tools made in America are a set of three wood spoons, two are slotted spoons.

The fourth spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America are for good quality wood utensils.

I’ve recently been replacing my silicone tongs and spatulas with wood alternatives and I’ve been happy with the results. These wood utensils are made with hard maple right here in America.

Not only is wood beautiful, but it’s safe for use in cooking.

5. KitchenAid Stand Mixer

The fifth best kitchen tools made in America is a white KitchenAid stand mixer.

The fifth spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to a good stand mixer.

I purchased a KitchenAid stand mixer after about 5 years of marriage and it’s lasted well over 14 years and is still going strong!

As much as I love my Bosch stand mixer for large quantities, it’s pretty expensive if you’re just getting started with a small budget and a small family.

Some of the parts of the mixer are made elsewhere in the world, but the KitchenAid stand mixers are assembled here in America at their Greenville, Ohio factory.

6. Ball Mason Jars

Ball half gallon mason jars.

The sixth spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to mason jars.

All Ball mason jars are made in America. I use the half gallon size for raw milk and tea. The quart, pint, and half pint jars are great for everything from measuring cups, drinking glasses, and its traditional use…home canning and preserving.

You can’t open a kitchen cabinet, refrigerator, freezer, or pantry without seeing some Ball mason jars.

7. Anchor Hocking Glass Measuring Cups and mixing bowls

Set of three glass liquid measuring cups.

The seventh spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to glass measuring cups.

Anchor Hocking glassware has proudly been made in America since 1905. Their measuring cups are durable and no kitchen is complete without them.

I really like using their glass mixing bowl and lid to marinate steaks overnight. It’s also handy for regular mixing projects and straining whey since its large size accommodates my large fine mesh sieve.

8. Anchor Hocking glass casserole dishes

The eighth spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to casserole dishes.

Continuing with my love for glassware, Anchor Hocking has great casserole dishes that are perfect for everyday cooking. Tempered glass is safe for the microwave, oven, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher.

I like to prep breakfast casseroles the night before and store them in the fridge. These casseroles have no problem going straight from the refrigerator to the oven as it preheats.

9. Top Notch Kitchenware French rolling pin

The ninth spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to a rolling pin, but not just any rolling pin.

When you start making your own breads or rolling out cookie dough, you can’t go wrong with a French rolling pin. This tapered Sugar Maple French rolling pin is the only rolling pin I have.

I remember using other rolling pins and having a terrible time with the handles. However, on this one, the rolling pin is the handle!

10. pyrex glass mixing bowl and lid

Pyrex glass mixing bowl and red lid.

The tenth spot of the10 best kitchen tools made in America goes to a large glass mixing bowl and lid. I love using glass because it’s nonporous and easy to sanitize. Plus, I know there are no toxic chemicals in clear glass.

When you want to mix enough dough for 24 cupcakes or make a big stack of pancakes for a family breakfast, you need a large mixing bowl. We also use this big bowl for popcorn, marinating meat, and soaking beans and grains.

Pyrex glass is made in the USA and comes with a 2-year warranty. Since it’s tempered, it’s safe to put it in the refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and even a preheated oven.
